RIVERSIDE FELLOWSHIP ANNUAL MEETING: Then the World Will Know

Riverside Fellowship is excited to announce that we are holding our first ever “Riverside Fellowship Annual Meeting” on Sunday, September 29th. The meeting will follow the Sunday Morning Worship Service and will last about an hour. Lunch will be provided by Jimmy John’s. The meeting is open to all members and regular attenders of Riverside Fellowship, as well as anyone who is deeply interested in the future ministry of our church. The purpose of our Annual Meeting is three-fold. We will celebrate all that the Lord has done in us and through us in the past year. We will communicate what lies directly ahead for us in the year to come. Finally, we will consecrate ourselves to the mission the Lord has given us as a faith family. We will also be voting on adding new members to our Board of Directors as well. That vote will be taken by members of the body. You can meet the nominees and hear their stories by watching the testimony videos posted below.

We hope you will make plans to join us for this exciting Sunday of worship and ministry!

NOMINEES FOR THE 2025 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

At our Annual Meeting on September 29th, Riverside Fellowship will vote to affirm two new members to our Board of Directors. Penny Vaughan, who has served on the Board since its inception in 2021, will be stepping down at the end of 2024. The current Board of Directors, including Penny, voted to increase the number of directors by one, from five members (plus the Pastor) to six members (plus the Pastor). The new board comprised of six members plus the pastor will begin their role in January 2025. The vote that will take place on Sunday, September 29th is a vote for each nominee presented below. Church members (over the age of 18) will be allowed to vote in the affirmative or in the negative for each nominee individually. We ask every member of Riverside Fellowship to prayer carefully and thoroughly about this decision, seeking the Holy Spirit for His guidance and direction.

Richard Jefferson

Richard Jefferson and his wife Janie were both born and raised right here in Franklin, TN – and they are also childhood sweethearts. They have two children (Brian and Becky) as well as four grandchildren (Kaylie, Gavin, Eli, and Natalie). Richard worked at Lee Company for 47 years and Janie served for nearly 35 years on the staff of another local congregation. The Jeffersons have been at Riverside Fellowship since the early days.

Colleen Perry

Toby and Colleen Perry moved to Middle Tennessee in 2006 when Toby’s job with Nissan relocated them here. They have two sons, Sam (26) and Zachary (23). Sam lives and works in Lexington, KY and Zachary is in a Masters Program at UT-Knoxville. Toby and Colleen both grew up in small towns in Illinois and met on a blind date. They came to Riverside Fellowship in July 2023 on the first Sunday worship services were held at Page Middle School.
